Ms. Mohini Mathur
Former Executive Chairperson, MUNA
Ms. Mohini Mathur was the former Executive Chairperson of Maharashtra United Nations Association (MUNA) and Vice President of Indian Federation of United Nations Associations (IFUNA), New Delhi.
She was a dedicated social worker and engaged in helping and empowering women, deprived and disadvantaged children, disabled and senior citizens.
Ms. Mohini Mathur was also the President - Commonwealth Liaison Unit, West Zone, India, President – Society for International Development, Bombay Chapter, President – Maharashtra State Women’s Council (1984 to 1986),President – Indian Council of Social Welfare (1990 to 1998),Vice President – Indian Federation on Ageing, Vice President – National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped India, Trustee – National Council of Women in India, Chairperson – NGO Committee and Member Executive Committee of the Indian Merchant’s Chamber, Ladies Wing. She was also chairperson of Mass Media Committee of the International Council of Women ICW with 110 countries affiliated to it.
She was Governor of Maharashtra’s nominee of the Senate of SNDT Women’s University. She also serves on several advisory boards of Government of India. She attended various international conferences and seminars and presented papers.
In recognition of her services to the society, she was nominated for the Mahila Shiromani Award by the President of India.
