Kanakaveda in collaboration with Indian Chamber of Commerce for Affirmative Action (ICCAA) had organised the observance of The World Anti obesity Day, on 11 October, 2019, at Dadar Mumbai.
The objective of the programme was to make awareness about the obesity related ailments and to promote solutions regarding obesity crises.
Obesity is defined by World Health Organisation as an Excessive Accumulation of Fats. Every year there are 2.8 million deaths due to over weight and related diseases.
Adv. Ashraf Ahmed Shaikh, Hon. Secretary of MUNA and President of its Youth wing was happy to share his thoughts on this subject along with Mr. Milind Kharat - Insurance Ombudsman for Mumbai and Goa, Dr. Sanjiv Kamble former Director of Health Services, Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Sunil Zode - Chairman ICCAA, Mr. Ramesh Thakre, Vice Chairman - ICCAA and Dr. Amjad Pathan, Head of Clinical Pharmacology, Wadia Hospital, Mumbai.
Special thanks to Dr. Ashish Gaikwad and Dr. Mrs.Ashwini Gaikwad of Kanaaveda for taking this initiative. The event concluded with series of Nukkad Natak on this subject.
