Seminar on India and Japan’s permanent membership in the Security Council

This seminar was organized on Tuesday, 21 September 2004, at 6:00pm at Walchand Hirachand Hall at IMC Churchgate in Mumbai.

Ambassador Prakash Shah, former Ambassador of India to Japan and India’s Representative to the United Nations was the Chief Guest and he presided over the seminar.

The Guest of Honour was H.E.Mr. Yasukuni Enoki, Ambassador of Japan to India.

The Guest Speakers were: Advocate Mr. Milind Sathe of Bombay High Court, Mr. M.S. Pai, Social Activist and Trustee, Indo–Japanese Association, Mr. Majeed Memon, Lawyer and Human Rights Activist and Mr. Firoze Andhyarujina, Eminent Lawyer of High Court and Supreme Court.

Mrs. Pheroza J. Godrej, President delivered the Welcome Address. Ms. Mohini Mathur Reported the activities of MUNA and introduced the guest speakers. Mr. K.M.Abraham introduced the other speakers.

The seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. A.A.Syed.

Refreshments were served after the seminar.
